Chandler (Standard) Walnuts in Shell

NEW SEASON CHANDLER WALNUTS

Our new-season Chandler walnuts are sourced from a small group of growers across Victoria’s Alpine Valleys, King Valley and Stanley in the High Country.

Chandler is the classic walnut variety most commonly grown in Australia, prized for its well-filled shell, light-coloured kernel and clean, rich walnut flavour. These are exceptional-quality walnuts, grown in cool-climate regions particularly well suited to producing fresh, flavoursome nuts.

If you’re looking for something a little different, we also offer the Wybaleena variety, a notably larger walnut with an impressive shell and kernel size.

A note on the shell: Dark spotting on the outside of the shell can occur naturally when walnuts are grown without cosmetic chemical sprays and should not affect the kernel inside.

Tip: No nutcracker? Carefully insert the tip of a bread-and-butter knife into the flatter end of the walnut, opposite the pointed end, and give it a gentle twist. Most will split neatly in half, making the kernel easy to remove.
